"Security Guard Who Stopped Shooter Credits God"

I find this story deeply compelling for reasons that I am not quite able to articulate.

I distill it down to "The Lord helps those that help themselves." FWIW.

I hear you, Dave, even though that particular saying nor even, really, it's sentiment is found in the Bible. Far more often, God helps those who have no other sure resource available and are at the point of relying on Him alone. And that describes Ms. Assam, I think.

Personally, the passage that I find most descriptive is Eph. 6:10-12 which says:

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms."

Ocassionally, that which goes on in the spiritual realm seems to spill over into our world in ways that leave us gasping.

From a prophetic standpoint, this is going to get worse before it gets better.
